What Makes the W20 Industrial Oil Skimmer Different?

The W20 is designed to remove floating oil from very narrow tanks 500–1,000 mm wide. Tank lengths can exceed 10 m, and the unit can operate with a discharge lift of up to 600 mm above the liquid surface.

Its robust construction supports continuous operation. To prevent premature wear caused by sand, chips and other solids in the oil, all wear components are made from highly wear-resistant ceramic materials.

That is a clear advantage for you, because maintenance work and costs are reduced significantly.

The oil skimmer itself is manufactured from durable stainless steel.

Depending on oil viscosity and floating-layer thickness, the W20 can recover up to 230 L/h. Actual performance therefore depends on operating conditions. With suitable accessories, capacity can be increased and the system can be adapted precisely to your application.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: What is the difference between the W20 and W40 oil skimmers?

The W20 is designed for narrow tanks 500–1,000 mm wide, while the W40 is intended for larger tanks at least 800 mm wide. The W20 operates up to +75 °C; the W40 up to +95 °C. Both recover up to 230 L/h of oil.

Q2: How long can the tank be?

The collection tube can be up to 20 m long, making the W20 suitable for narrow tanks more than 10 m long. The freely floating tube covers the complete liquid surface, including corners.

Q3: Is installation complicated?

No. The W20 is supplied as a prefabricated system for rapid installation. It supports discharge lifts up to 600 mm and automatically compensates for liquid-level fluctuations.

Q4: What is the operating temperature range?

The W20 operates from −20 °C to +75 °C. For liquids above +75 °C, the W40 model is recommended and is suitable up to +95 °C.

Q5: Which industries use the W20?

Typical applications include metalworking, automotive production, heat treatment, wastewater systems, surface treatment and degreasing tanks with narrow tank geometries.
